Reading at Houlton
Reading is very important at Houlton School, students are encouraged to read actively and regularly to help them to expand their cultural capital, vocabulary and understanding of the world around them. Reading is also encouraged as an escape from everyday life, a joyful use of time and imagination and a way to relax and unwind. Reading for pleasure is just as important as reading for learning.
